Dec 24 found me being zapped by 33 virus at once. due to slow server and even slower protecter down loads.. I lost my main computer.. so I'm currently using my Hubbys laptop.. I've been busy with making mug matt quilts, and a Spring lap quilt, just have to add boarder then i'm finished. Can't share pics with you because laptop won't let me download printer or cameria.. so until I replace my big computer,, I'll just visit and let you know what I'm doing.. so for now happy crafting I've gone to work on a new mug matt.. tootles.. TC

yep 5 more days,,,lol my son is counting the days to attack the gifts. he's going to be so surprised with Santas gifts... shhhhhh I'm not telling,, but it has been something he asked for sense last year and they sold out last year.. so when i saw them this year i snatched one up. he only asked for small things this year so this will be a great surprise.

as for me well all my gist making is totally done. I've been working on patterns for next years projects,, one is a sweet mini block for newly weds. and the other is a pentagram block for a dear dear friend. and of course a Family name quilt for us of everyone on our side of the family,,, you know like Kids and Grandkids. something for me in my old age to remember who is who....lol I so enjoy quilting.

was cyber looking at this designers web site at Me & My Stitches , , , Julie Letvin,, she makes mini quilt designs from paper into jewelry.. the detail is so sweet,, she has a blog too in th Jan/Fed issue of Love of Quilting by Fon's & Porter's on page 38-39 she has the sweetest pincushion of the pineapple punch.. 3 1/2 square in size,, just too cute, just think she can do this even smaller into jewelry.. how cool is that..

After seeing that makes me want to try doing quilt blocks smaller in cloth.. now be interesting,, for sure.

my tree quilt

whew finially got the mini lights attached to the quilt and added a gold trim to the borders.. now for the smaller stuff,, Bows and snow flakes to balance the tree out. this is what i'm working on so don't forget me i hope to have it done in a couple days,, then I'll add a pic ok. Tree Quilt

this is my tree Yule tree quilt undecorated.. I'm going to add tensel a star and some beads and a few mini ornaments,, Maybe. I got the pattern on line,,, I'll have to look up the link and repost it,, it was from a version of a Christmas Tree Rag Quilt pattern,, but it showed a non-rag pattern which i used.. i added an extra boarder to it and did my own color theme. it's 31 x 31.. used fat quarters and 1-1/2 yardage. it was way fun,, so this is the before pic and soon I'll post the after pic once i decorate it with some bling.. enjoy.. oh I had a sudden desire to make my Oldest Daughter a Wall Quilt for Yule.. something for her to have for years and to remember Dear Ole MOM by.. it's a ohio star quilt block pattern i saw on line and used chirstmas colors to make it more holiday theme.. plus i added my oldest daughters kids names to it... thank goodness she's onlt got 4 or I'd run out of corners on the quilt,,, Happy Crafting TC

you may have noticed a few changes taking place.. just thought things needed brightening up. just a little warning my crafting ideas have taken a turn to making quilted items. so far I'm making Gift card/coasters to use as a double gift at christmas. and i'm going to try my hand at mug rug coasters, which is a double coaster to fit your mug or glass and a place to set your morning bagel or afternoon snack.. like the idea may have to add to the idea with an encert to support things if you carry them.... oh i'll still work on my dolls,, but mini quilted stuff is fun too.. so check back soon as i share some goodies and ideas.. Well Here it is,, look what i found.. a tired little Baby Dragon all snuggled down for a snooze.. it was so tired from delivering all those valentine Goodies on it's last delievery it just pooped-out..poor little thing.
it stands, 11 3/4 inches tall about 6 inches wide. Made with a mixed assortment of materials, hand made, O.O,A.K. Cloth Creation. Inspired by, Pur Imagination: The Art of Lady Heather.

We live in the country and near our house is the piney woods and while out gathering pine cones I heard a faint giggle near my feet. looking down i saw a pretty mushroom.. i like mushrooms because they always seem to have such magical guest visiting near them.. so I got down on one knee and peeked close and to my surprise I saw the tinyest wee forest folk and I just had to share this Wee Forest Gal,, she won't share her name yet,, but she did let me peek under her mushroom and see her baby mouse. she is so sweet.. take a peek but you have to hurry because quick as can be she will be off playing with her baby mouse cozy and warm because the weather is getting a bit nippy again.. enjoy Lady DragonRose

the rounding out the holiday season finds me at my last and final project idea. with so much snow in different locations around the world.. i desided to make a cloth and beaded snowflake ornament for this christmas Year. it's a beaded snowflake design on the front with the year 2010 embroarderyed on the back. my first design to try. hope you enjoy and have a safe a happy holiday.

yes I've been away.. crafting my little short fat fingers to the bone. why you may wonder,,,, well i was inspired by Sherry and Ron Byrum, craftiness in art work, and with permission i made by using their example of their clay witchy spider,, I took my needle in hand and created my own Witchy Spider from cloth. she's not as grand as theirs, but she does have a bit of magic about her all her own. she's in a party mood with her bows on her shoes and earrings dangleing. she's iut for a Halloween goody and it could be YOU! enjoy Happy Crafting, Lady DragonRose

this is Sys Clops Chef, stands 6 1/2 inches from base to tip of hair, All cloth. cloth plate with salt dough food items, he's all set with his spoon. not sure he likes the healthy food choices,, i was reminded Cyclops rather sheep, and or humans to munch on,, that could be why he's sticking out his tongue .
Sys Clops Chef was designed by myself and the features were advised by my 10 year old son, Nate. he now says i need to make a lady to go with him. what ya think,,

This is a "Painted pony" a Pinto,, if you look close the kitty has spilled the milk pail starrleing the horse and to keep from stepping on the kitty the horse is jumping over it. it's all cloth with yarn tail and maine. stands 12 inches at the shoulders and 14 and a smidget at the ears.. his dowel rod can be removed from the base for shipping. kitty and pail are glued in place. if you'd like a better pic let me know,, price is 25.00 + sh 10.00.

Just thought I'd share a new idea of dolls,, well at lease for me.. She's my Bed Doll,, taking my usual doll pattern and removed the legs instead i added a stuffed skirt, which makes the doll very light. Whew what a rush to get all my Xmas gifts done.. felt good to see all the smiles that was worth it all. I did not get to finish my own yule Lady.in 2008. but I did finish her alittle later in Jan/09. she is a Winter Yule Witch. done in white satin and sliver with pearls. Still about my Dolls,,, but I've been hearing the whispers from the Bayou and it seems cuzin's are coming soon. So I'm Inviting you to come walking with me down by the Bayou, to a Special place, where the mighty Oak stands all snarled and bent,,, laced with Spanish Moss that dances in the wind. Hi long time no visit...lol I just happen to pop in and say Hi. yep still working on my dolls,,, been kept busy with a new kitten thou. it's name is Lucky.. he's about 6 weeks maybe 7 weeks old now.. yellow and white and love to cuddle.. he comes and finds me to just hold him.. spoiled already. Loves to explore the house,, most times he's my little shadow. Been cleaning my craft stuff up and he's been right there in all the material and ribbons having a blast.. next time I pop in I'll try and have a pic of him to share with all of you.. well i'm off to go work on a doll,, so I'll chat with you soon,, happy stitches,, TC

Nothing Super Fancy going on here in Louisiana. Just rain..lol normal this time of year. Working on my dolls,, Oh lets see,, which one have i done sense i last posted. There was a Troll , Ms BethaLynn... she's keeping me company and motovating me on other dolls. most of the time,, she does have view of what the other should wear,,lol

and lets see my next doll I just did was my Lady in pink,, done alittle different,, legs part has been switched to a tube,, so that the doll can be used for either a holiday tree topper or a neat place to hide trinkets or love notes...

Just to give you an idea of my challenge Doll,Princess Tyjar Lilli, it's a mermaid she's just come in from a party and too tired to dance any more but still full of the giggles,, yep she's cloth and of darker skin tone. full of beads and lace with 2 tone yarn hair. with a painted mask.

Well as of today I'm working on a Challenge Doll,, for fun I sorts challenged myself to see if i could Make a Merimaid,, from a cloth doll. adapting a pattern.. using what I already have,, I'm attempting to make a merimaid not of your normal pale skin and blond hair type.. but instead with a darker skin tone,, med brown., That part's already done,, the body put together i mean... I'm waiting on material to come in,, from ebay for her tail,, but I've already started work on the fins of the outfit. Nope not sharing pics yet,, it's a work in progress, and you know crafters all subjects and pending to change,,, and this one has already. Well I'm off to play,,, ttfn TC

Well sense someone asked me if i had a blog to share my dolls,, I Thought I'd get this back up and running.. I can do both my weight lose journey and my Doll Createing. both should be fun,, now to share this with Others...let me see can i add a pic here,,, if so my last two dolls..

First is my Nurse doll,(Abbie Gail) for a special Nurse that always helps me during blood work at my Doctors office. and second doll is just Charlie,, she's out for a walk with Trixie her mini Doberman,, they chatting about good test results they just got,, lucky puppy.

Well next up on news is I'll Be 50 Tomorrow,, wow,, never thought I'd make it that far... well thats all for now ... Now to figure out how to share my Blog.. TC
